My identity is no secret, although, thanks to you, I’ve come upon the realization that people who don’t follow me on twitter have no idea who I am.
My name is Shiven and I write as an outlet to express my insatiable curiosity on infectious diseases, virology, the history of medicine and public health policy, and frequently the intersection thereof. My formal training is in medicine, infectious diseases and drug development (among others) and I’ve turned to writing as a chronicling of my thoughts with the hope of finding others who think similarly.
I see that you are a Brownstone fellow. I had previously approached Jeffrey Tucker to ask if he’d be interested in publishing my article entitled “Iatrogenic Shudras” on Brownstone. He was, but it never came to fruition. I eventually ended up publishing it on substack.
Anyway, I will now try to figure out how to update my profile on Substack. I find the interface very clunky and struggle with understanding which one is the publication and which the personal profile. I’ll figure it out eventually.
